The winners of the annual County Limerick Burial Grounds Awards and the Golden Mile Awards were announced at a ceremony held in Limerick County Hall on Monday 14 December 2009.
Crean Development was named overall winner of the sixth annual Golden Mile Competition. Caherelly was named overall winner of the Modern section of the Burial Ground competition, while Reilig Mhuire in Askeaton finished in second place. Meanwhile, Killeedy was named overall winner of the Ancient section of the competition with Annagh being announced as runner-up. A full media release may be found here
